With Your Own Voice - Participatory Video Workshops in Lagadikia

In June 2023, as part of the Erasmus+ project “With Your Own Voice”, our partners, La Cosecha, held a series of participative video workshops at our Lagadikia Community Centre. The project aimed to provide refugee youth with the tools and platform to share their realities, perspectives and experiences, and counter dominant narratives fuelled by racism and misinformation.

During these workshops, participants had the opportunity to learn theoretical and technical knowledge about documentary filmmaking to develop their ideas. Through a democratic process of selection, we chose from the topics proposed by the participants and split into groups to develop their ideas and shoot their documentaries.
